Beginning in 1981, Morris South has been offering full sales and service support for Okuma horizontal lathes.  Sizes range from simple 6" chuckers to large diameter, big bore lathes for oil country applications.  Models range in complexity from simple 2-axis turning to models with features such as "Y" axis, opposing spindles, dual turrets, 4-axis turning, and mill/turn combination lathes with tool changers. 

In July 2004, Okuma Corporation purchased Okuma & Howa Corporation, forming the largest publicly traded machine tool company in the world.  This is a welcome addition, as it brings  heavy duty and high production vertical spindle lathes to our product offerings.
