Okuma
Okuma America Corporation is the US based affiliate of Okuma Corporation, a world leader in the development of computer numeric controls (CNC) and machining technology, founded in 1898 in Nagoya, Japan.
Okuma is known for its technology leadership and world-class manufacturing, product quality and dedication to customer service. Okuma products are used in the automotive, aerospace and defense, construction and farming equipment, oil and energy, medical, mold and die, and fluid power industries.
Machines include vertical and horizontal machining centers, lathes, double column machining centers, grinders, and wheel machines that offer users high throughput, high accuracy, and reliable solutions to production machining operations.
Okuma is a pioneer in open architecture CNC technology. In a class by itself, Okuma's THINC CNC uses the power of the Microsoft WINDOWS™ operating system to combine Okuma’s OSP control with an open architecture PC-based operating platform. THINC enables access to almost any application and peripheral including factory management systems, and interfaces with bar coders, feeders, robots, probes and tool setters to help streamline production.
We proudly sell Okuma Machine Tools, including:
Multus Series Lathes
Multifunction Mill-Turn Machine
The new Okuma Multus is a general purpose multi-function machine that is designed to reduce set up time by virtually eliminating repetitive fixturing to improve accuracy and keep non-cutting time to a minimum. It features the industry’s first Collision Avoidance System software.

MB Series Machining Centers
High Speed, High Accuracy Vertical Machining Centers
The basis for all Okuma vertical machining centers, the MB Series sets the bar for efficiency and utility. An impressive thermal stability and zero table overhang allow for tight tolerances and extreme accuracy.
MA Series
Horizontal Machining Centers
The third generation of a proven design platform, the MA-400H/500H/ 600H machines boast a series of engineering features guaranteed to achieve results. A high-speed axis feed of 60 m/min provides near instant access to parts, improving productivity.
VR Series
Vertical Turning Machines
The VR Series single spindle vertical turning lathes offer a compact, efficient means of machining larger diameter workpieces. The VR Series VTL 12-station turret is designed to minimize adjacent tool interference, offering a variety of options for tool layout. Open access makes tooling changeover easy. Turret indexing is extremely fast to minimize non-cutting time. Options include semi-automatic loading/unloading system, driven tool system and a quick tool setter.
