Distributors Merge to Form Morris South

[WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT:  JULY 23, 2009] The R.O. Deaderick Company of Huntsville, Alabama and Machine Tool Systems, LLC of Charlotte, North Carolina officially have merged operations and will conduct ongoing business under the name of Morris South, according to Jerry Rex, President of Morris South.  The machine tool distributorships were purchased by Morris Group, Inc. of Windsor, Connecticut in 1988 and 1984, respectively, and together as Morris South will serve manufacturers of precision machined parts in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, the Florida panhandle, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. 
 
"Bringing all back-office functions under one roof better serves the needs of our customers," states Mr. Rex. "The merging of the separate distributorships has been very smooth.  We've worked together closely since joining Morris Group, Inc. and enjoy sharing the large pool of engineering and service resources in our combined regions and through the network of Morris Group, Inc. companies."
 
Doug Schulte will serve as Regional Vice President of Morris South.  "The merger will be virtually transparent to customers of the R.O. Deaderick Company," said Mr. Schulte.  "We will continue to deliver the same high caliber of customer service that's been our trademark since 1949. The Huntsville office will continue to serve as a sales office and showroom."
