Mercury Marine performs turning and hobbing with Okuma LB3000-EX CNC Lathes

Mercury Marine of Fond du Lac and Cedarburg, Wisconsin, was featured in the January 19, 2012 issue of American Machinist's electronic newsletter. The well respected manufacturer of outboard motors dramatically increased its production volume of drive and propeller shafts with the help of Okuma America Corporation, Morris Midwest, WTO, and several Okuma LB3000-EX CNC lathes.  Turning and hobbing operations are performed on LB3000-EX BB MYW models that were customized for Mercury Marine's specific machining needs.
