Okuma America Corporation Receives ISO 9001:2008 Certification

Charlotte, NC (March 13, 2009) - Okuma America Corporation (OAC) announces that it has received the Certificate of Registration for the ISO 9001:2008 compliant Quality Management System. Registration was awarded by Preferred Registrar Group, Inc.

"Based on registration documents, we believe we are the first major machine tool manufacturer to receive registration under the new standards, which were published on November 13, 2008", stated Michael Lail, Director of Operations and Quality Systems for OAC.

ISO 9001 is a family of standards for quality management systems maintained by ISO, the International Organization for Standardization. The certification of compliance with ISO 9001:2008 recognizes that the policies, practices and procedures of our corporation ensure consistent quality in the services and manufactured product we provide our customers.
